Power to the People!

Yes, I support South San Joaquin Irrigation District's plan to buy the PG&E local electric system to provide local residents and businesses with a 15% reduction in electric rates, better customer service and more reliable electricity.
Yes, you can use my name in SSJID literature, newspaper ads and on the SSJID website. I am proud to support SSJID's retail electric service plan.

In order for SSJID to be able to provide retail electricity service for Manteca, Ripon, and Escalon at a 15 percent discount over PG&E's rates, SSJID needs your support. Over the coming months it will be critical for local decision makers to hear from those who will be affected by this change.

We're asking that you express your interest in making this change a reality by:

  • making phone calls to LAFCo members and local elected officials
  • sending letters and emails to LAFCo members and to local elected officials
  • attending public hearings and community workshops
  • attending the LAFCo hearing
  • placing a yard or window sign at your home or business
  • inviting SSJID to speak at your community, neighborhood or service club meeting
  • sharing information with your neighbors and friends
